About
OutOfContext.dev is a blog about building software with agentic and AI coding tools — Claude Code, Cursor, and the steady stream of things that come after them. The name is a nod to the constraint every one of these tools lives and dies by: context. Get it right and the work flies; get it wrong and you're debugging confident nonsense.
I'm an engineer who ships with these tools daily and makes the boring-but-consequential calls around them: build or buy, which model to depend on, where to put a human in the loop. This is where I write up what I learn — the wins, the sharp edges, and the occasional reminder that the ground under this whole space is still moving fast.
The goal is simple: share real experience so you can level up your own AI game without paying full price for every lesson. No hype cycles, no doom — just honest field notes from someone doing the work.
Got a reaction, a correction, or a war story of your own? I'd love to hear it.
